APPLE GREEN & INDIGO FOR OUR SUMMER PORCH

After the 4th of July celebration and when the red, white & blues were put away until next year,
our porch sat empty for a couple of days.

I wasn't sure what to do, so I "shopped" my storage closet for some fabric remnants and old pillow covers
and dressed up the front porch porch using items I already had.

Hello everyone.
I hope your week is going well.
Mine started a little busy, but all the chores and errands are finally finished and now it is time to "play". :)

Last week I had many of you asking me how I made the lamps and lampshades for our back porch.

NEW FURNITURE ON THE BACK PORCH

The truth is that our back porch furniture are not so new, I am just very late sharing with you all. :)

We purchased two sets during the Memorial Day weekend, the conversation set and dinning table and six chairs.
During that weekend, they had all the outdoor furniture at 60% off, so we figured it was now or never.

The table is still stored until we finish the deck, but we have been enjoying sitting on our new
and improved back porch for a couple of months now.
Come on out and let me show you around.

WHERE BLOGGERS CREATE 2016

Hello everyone!
This is my second year joining Karen at My Desert Cottage for her link party Where Bloggers Create.
Thank you to Karen for hosting this wonderful event!

I have to tell you I waited thirty years to have a working space of my own. For over 23 years my husband served in the military and our continued moving from one end of the world to the other, made it impossible to make my
dream come true.
Until he retired and we built this home.

This was a huge project, but so worth it! :)
This room used to be our son's bedroom and many changes happened to make it the space it is today.
It was a looong project, since we built everything ourselves, cabinets, counters, shelves, even the wood brackets.
Everything is homemade.

And it was a happy day when it was all finished and ready to make it my own. :)

I even had enough space to have a small sitting area.

Last year I built a small extension to the room.
I used the closet to add more work space and storage.

I hope you enjoyed this little tour of my craft/sewing space.
You will find me many afternoons in this room sewing, painting or working on crafts.
I just love, love, love having a space of my own. :)

Thank you again to Karen for hosting such a wonderful and fun party and to all of you for stopping by for a visit.
Until next time!

Here and there, as I have time, I have been "playing" with my home decor.
